The Maitland Trail is a 48 km linear trail that makes a dogleg along the Maitland River from Goderich to Auburn. Terrain varies from flat sections, gentle slopes, to steep climbs, ridges, and river flats. Some sections are rugged. A rich variety of plant and bird life can be seen.

We will be paddling the Nith River from Wolverton to Canning. Since this is traditionally a shallow river, kayaks are preferred. There is a moderate skill level required because we are unsure of the amount of swifts in this river. We will be having lunch on the river, so you need to bring your lunch.
