Event Description
This hike has been cancelled due to the possible presence of bow and rifle hunters  nearby, to ensure safety of participants.
Experienced hikers will love this 7 km walk on the historic trail along the Ausable River near Arkona, with stream crossings, great scenery, and falls at the confluence. Current fall colours should be spectacular.

Current Conditions
Participants Should Be Prepared For:
Trail is hilly and can be rough. Prepare for creek crossings without a bridge.
The trail can be muddy and slippery. Also possible flooding rivulets further along the trail. It will be a Mystery!

There may be possible (bow and arrow) hunters in the area Oct 1 to Dec 31.
We do not anticipate issues, as this is a known popular hiking area, but want you to be aware.
