I trust that each of you, as well as your families and friends, are staying well during the current COVID-19 pandemic. As a generally very active club, it is no doubt disappointing to many members that all of our group outdoor activities previously scheduled up to the end of May have been cancelled in order to comply with government guidelines.

However, that is not to say that your Club has been sitting around idly waiting for things to improve. For example, many of you participated in the recent online “Friday Presentation Series” via the Zoom Video Conferencing system during which time Phil Vallance described his hiking adventure along the famous Camino de Santiago trail. Be sure to register on our website Event Calendar for future sessions including April 24th when Chris and Rod Richmond will outline their recent Farm-sitting experience in rural France.

Mike Tanner just published another e-Newsletter on our website once again highlighting some very interesting personal stories from various Club members as well as outlining how you might benefit from our new “Friend in Need” program during these trying times. Since we all seem to have more time than usual, many of you might wish to email Mike and share some of your ‘stay at home’ experiences for the next e-Newsletter.
