Posted Paddles:
August 22 - Short and Slow Novice paddle on Mud Creek – perfect for a relaxed paddle to explore the fauna
August 24 – Mitchel’s Bay to the Syne – this is a longer, fast paddle suitable for experienced paddlers that want a good workout.
August 27 – Wilkesport launch – this is a moderate paddle. We paddle out for one hour and then return. We paddle at a steady rate but will have a couple of water breaks. This is a good paddle if you can paddle steadily for 2 hours.
August 30 – Fun Poker run on the St Clair – this is a fun, social event suitable for most paddlers. Inflatable kayaks not recommended. There will be a prize and social time after.
August 31 – Wilkesport to the Darcy McKeough Dam – this is a longer fast paddle for experienced paddlers
September 13 – Wallaceburg paddle – a moderate paddle through Wallaceburg – one hour out and then return.
September 18-20 – Long Point camping and paddling. There will be moderate to longer paddles over the weekend. Accommodations and travel to be arranged by the participants
September 28 – St. Clair River paddle to Fawn Island. This is a paddle for experienced paddlers due to distance and possible rough water from passing ships.
More events will be added closer to the date. Some events will have a limited number of participants. All events are peer coordinated recreations paddles where participants paddle their own kayaks or canoes (pleasure craft). Each participant remains responsible for their own safety, decisions and the operation of their personal pleasure craft.
We hope to see you out paddling soon.
Cheers
