IMPORTANT: All participants MUST pre-register for event, by midnight the night before; due to Covid-19 drop-ins/guests are not permitted.

Be aware of the Public Health guidance relative to your own vaccination status and make your personal choices accordingly. For those who are more at risk of the virus, be aware that some participants at LOC events may not be fully vaccinated.

Event Description Fanshawe Lake Trails/ Fanshawe Conservation Area

A 20 km loop trail travelling around Fanshawe Reservoir. Spectacular views, all kinds of wildlife and a variety of terrain.

Trail is open to cyclists who travel counter-clockwise on odd numbered dates.

The hydroelectric plant at the base of Fanshawe Dam generates enough power to run 300 households.


(This is one of the two test hikes required for anyone considering the Bruce Trail hikes.)

Event Start Time 9:00 a.m.

Parking info:  After going through the Fanshawe Conservation Area gate house please continue driving over the Dam to the day use parking beside the washrooms at the Kinsmen picnic area. This is near the Pioneer Village and the Children's Safety Village. 

(Pls arrive 15 mins before hike for instructions and introductions.)
