“Friends in Need – Friends Indeed” Program
During this pandemic, some of us may find ourselves being quarantined, or otherwise needing to self-isolate. We might not have friends nor family nearby to draw on to deliver much needed supplies to our door.
If you find yourself in that position, this program is intended to enable you to reach out to our LOC community for help. The steps are:
- As the “Friend In Need”, please let me know by email what you need and where you are.
- I would then send an email to LOC members asking for a volunteer to be the “Friend Indeed” who could help with your request. That email would not include your name nor your contact information.
- Once a volunteer “Friend Indeed” steps forward, I would send the volunteers name and contact info to the "Friend in Need", who would then contact the volunteer and coordinate directly with them.
(If for whatever reason you did not want to engage that volunteer, just let me know and I’ll advise them that their service is no longer needed without divulging your name.)
- I’d appreciate a followup note letting me know when your need has been taken care of so I can mark the request as “complete”.
