LOC Invitation to AGM-2023

  This is a friendly reminder to sign up for our Annual General meeting (AGM) on the 24th of October starting at 6 PM. This is the first year we offer a choice of attending in person at the Lochiel Kiwanis Community Centre , or via Zoom from the comfort of your home. If you choose to come in person, we will be able to socialize prior to the meeting start of 6:30 PM with coffee/tea and snacks. It is always great to catch up and meet friends and other members.

 

  The AGM is a once a year opportunity for the general membership to get updates on clubs activities from the past year as well as a look ahead to the coming year. You will meet the current LOC Council (President Nico Van Dyl, Vice President Winston Ramharry, Treasurer Rod Richmond, Secretary John DeVeer, Cycling John Damoiseaux/Jim Corkery, Hiking Louise Dixon/Mike Elliot, Paddling Joe Burley, Winter Brian Seabrook, Social Lisa Valade, Media Mairin Ring and Membership Phil Valance.

 

       The formal AGM which will be approximately 30 minutes, during which your votes are needed to approve the minutes as well as approve the new council that will guide the club in the coming fiscal year 2023/2024. This is your chance to ask questions, provide your input and participate in your club.

 

        After the meeting is adjourned, we have our guest speaker Ross Atkinson, Chair of Lambton Shores Nature Trail. He will discuss how this volunteer organization develops, maintains, and promotes about 40 km of trails on 10 different properties from Port Franks to Ausable River, Ipperwash Dunes and Swales, to Mystery Falls and Forest areas. Our hiking and paddling groups have certainly enjoyed these areas and we have many of our members volunteer for building and trail maintenance.
